Phil Toman '49- writes Class of 1949 had a Christmas Lunchen - See write up and photos

Jack Ralston '55 - writes - President Judge Joseph F. Battle, Class of 1955, died suddenly on March 9,2001. As reported in 'The Delaware County Times', literally thousands paid their respects to Joe. (See list of all decease alumni and staff.)

Larry Jilk 1956 writes- retiring from National Penn Bank after 25 years...17 years previously with Provident National Bank, Phila. Summers in Lewes ,De. winters in Sanibel, Fl. 2 girls, one in Bcksburg, Va with 2 children ( and a husband): one in Asheville, N.C....single..planning on hiking the Continential Divide trail from Mexico to Canada...preeviously compledted the Pacific Crest Trail ( Mexico to Canada) and the Appalachian Mt Trail. I join for 7-10 days...we go slow when I'm in tow.

Anthony Travaline '63 writes - Live in West Chester, Penna. and at present act as Corporate Officer for Paul Sustek Company,Inc. in Aston, Penna. with International Export Freight.

Ed Gallagher '64 writes - Monday night 12 March, 2001 at the Iron Hill Brewery in Media, the following alums from the class of '64 gathered for dinner. The purpose of the dinner was to see Bill Boland '64 formerly from Springfield now of Las Vegas who was in town. Those present included Lee Autman, Bill Boland, Ed Gallagher, Guy Fizzano, Jim Carney, Bill Schollins, Ralph Donofrio, Gerry Tierney and his wife Donna and Ben Dimeo. This get together was arranged on 3 days notice with one call to each individual. No one said that they would not attend. (Ed is a member of the Alumni Council and is part of a 3 generation family tradition at Archmere.)

Joe Ferrari '64- writes - Thanks for the update. I look forward to the next reunion of the Class of '64. Still live in Manassas the past 22 years. No longer work in NASA due to cuts that began in '93 due to Clinton/Gore reinventing government. Now work in telecommunications along with wife, Carol. Daughter Christina (Christi) graduated from the Madeira School last year and is now in pre-med at Boston University. Best wishes to all!

Eric Richter '66 - writes - Linda Jean Richter, Ph.D., wife of Eric Richter, '66 died on December 12, 2000 after a 10 year battle with breast cancer. Eric and Linda Jean have three children, Regina (a sophomore at Stanford), Luise, and Christina. Loretta Richter, mother of Eric Richter, died of natural causes on January 5, 2001. She was 88 years old. Her husband, Louis Richter, is living in West Chester, PA.

Frank Buchy '69 writes - The Best H.S. Basketball TEAM in Delaware in 1969 -It was sure a fun time in our lives. I will always remember the good times that we had that year and the tremendous team spirit. Hope all of you guys are doing well and that you have continued to be winners throughout life. I don't think that I will be able to attend the banquet but please stay in touch via email or phone. I have 4 children; two boys, 2 girls and oh yes a wife too.

Fr. Michael Manz 1969 writes- Happy to be 2 1/2 years in Texas, working to help people find, know and serve Christ in their ordinary circumstances of life and family.

Keith Kreuer '78: Single Father of 3 daughters - Gretchen, 18; Ashley, 15 and Niki, 12. Director of Education and Risk Management for the Richmond Association of REALTORS. Made Cursillo in December 1994. Has served on 2 Cursillo teams and 7 Kairos (a prison ministry)teams. On the Borad of Management for the YMCA. Mentors in the city of Richmond School System.

Alan Dombrowski '78 writes - Still residing in St. Louis, MO (Sunset Hills) for the past 17 years. Two children, Audrey (9 yrs old) and Ben (5 yrs old) are attending St. Peter's Catholic School in Kirkwood. Wife, Donna, was recently acknowledged for her 15 years of service with St. Louis University School of Medicine, Dept of OB/GYN Oncology as a Research Nurse Specialist. Alan has been Vice President of Hawthorn Physician Services Corp. since 1984 and a Partner in the firm since 1995. Hello to all fellow '78 classmates!

John Haley 1978 writes- Owner of Haley Engineering , Inc. , a civil engineering firm. President of The Young Professionals For Covenant House ,www.ypfch.org , the largest member charity organization in South Florida serving the needs of a teenage crisis center shelter in Ft. Lauderdale.

John Saling '79 - Mrs. Nona Saling, mother of John, passed away on April 8th, 2001. Fr. Joseph McLaughlin concelebrated the mass which was held on April 16, 2001.

Frank Nowaczyk '80 writes - Patty and I live southwest of Richmond, VA with our children; Patrick (11), Kasey (9), Jordan (7) and Andrew (5). I work for Whitehall Robins Healthcare in R&D. Family who are also alumni: Frank Sr. (father, '59), Robert (uncle, '65), John (brother, '87), Susan (sister, '89), Mike (brother, '93)

John Lucey '80 writes - On Feb. 2nd, 2001 John and his wife Guida welcomed their daughter, Emily Rose. Emily has 2 older brothers John and Patrick. Emily's godmother is John's sister, Joan Lucey-McNamara '84.

Ken Berl '82 writes - Ken and his wife Meghann welcomed a son, Patrick Roman, into the world on May 11, 2001. Patrick will be baptized June 24, 2001 at St. Mary of the Assumption in Hockessin, DE.

Martina Manz-Bretherick '82 writes - I am a missing alumni. After my graduation I went to Toulouse (F) where I went to University. Part of my studies took me to Brighton, UK, where I met my husband. He joined me to come back to my home country, Germany. While I trained as a travel agent, Jim started to work for the European Patent Office as patent examiner in Munich. We got married in 1991 and have our daughter Emma since Feb. 14, 1997. I am now working part time in the market research field and part time in a travel ageny specialized in ecological and environment conscious travelling. We live in the suburbs of Munich.

Drew Bernhardt '82 writes - Drew and his wife Kathy celebrated the birth of their second child, Eric Conrad, in July. Eric joins three year old brother Dirk. Drew served for seven years as a Marine Corps Officer, and has been working for the past eight years at AstraZeneca, a pharmaceutical company headquartered in Wilmington, Delaware. The Bernhardts live in West Chester, Pennsylvania.

Michael Hogan '84 write - Liam Allen Hogan Age 20 months of Newark, DE joined his grandparents in heaven on Wednesday, January 17, 2001. Liam was a happy, loving child who will be remembered by the family members that survive him: Liam's parents, Michael and Desiree Hogan; his brothers, Michael Jr. and Collin M. Hogan; and his paternal grandfather, Dr. John T. Hogan, M.D. Donations in memory of Liam may be sent to Delaware SIDS, 17 Roselawn Ave., Wilmington, DE 19805.

Barbara Seaholm-Antonetti '85 - writes - On March 2, 2001, Scott and Barbara Antonetti welcomed the birth of their daughter, Natalie Ellen. She joins big sister Carly at home in Racine, WI.

Richard Furey '85 write - I am an attorney in the Prague, Czech Republic office of Hogan & Hartson LLP, a Washington, D.C. based law firm.

Joe Dougherty '86 writes - I have been living in Europe since 1993, working first for Andersen Consulting (now Accenture) in France and the UK, and currently for BuildOnline in London.

Matt Warder '88 writes - My daughter,Payton Savannah, was baptized April 15, 2001 at Pax Christi Catholic Church in Highlands Ranch, Colorado. Added 16 November - Matt Warder 1988 writes- My wife and I wanted to announce the birth of our second daughter, Kennady Alexis. She was born 11/9/01. She joins her sister Payton Savannah. Matt Works for Time Warner Telecom and is finishing his MTEL at the University of Denver. Matt also helps his wife run a consulting firm out of his home. They provide life care plans and legal nurse consulting to various law firms across the country. Matt was glad to run into an old classmate (Heather Kearns '88) who now also lives in Colorado. We hope to get together soon.

Thomas M. Swoyer, Jr. '88 writes - I am currently the office manager for Weston's San Antonio, Texas office. Weston is a fullservice environmental remediation and infrastructure engineering company.

Dan Mueller '88 writes-My wife Arlene and I had a baby girl, Amanda Elizabeth Mueller, on September 14. Amanda is our first child. We are currently living near Hershey, PA. I work for Bayer Corporation in our Solid Dosage Manufacturing operation in Myerstown, PA. I oversee domestic production of products such as Bayer Aspirin, Aleve, Midol, and Alka-Seltzer Cold Medicines. My wife Arlene is an optometrist in Harrisburg.

Kari Zack Murphy 1988 writes- We are thrilled to announce the birth of our second daughter, Amanda Nicole, on September 6th of this year. Amanda joins a big sister, Alexandra Lizbeth ("Lexi"), who is two and a half. I've been "retired" from teaching elementary school for three years now and I love staying home with the girls. Someday in the distant furture I'll go back to work - though not to teaching; I'm still trying to decide "what I want to be when I grow up." My husband, Mark, is a licensed counselor who works full-time in a juvenile correctional center and part-time in a Christian counseling practice.

Jason Sack '89 - My brother Brian Sack, class of 1988, and his lovely wife Michele Sack just gave birth to a good looking little guy named Nelson James Sack. We call him NJ. He was born on December 18, 2000 in New York City (Lenox Hill Hospital on the upper east side). 8 lbs., 8 oz., 22 inches long.

Sarah Dougherty '90 - writes -I have moved back to the Wilmington area and it does not seem like too much has changed in nearly 11 years I have been away. If you ever find yourself at The Inn at Montchanin Village or Krazy Kat's Restaurant ask for me!

Robert Ulmer '90 writes - I am a second year law student at American University's Washington College of Law. Added 12-3-2001- Robert Ulmer 1990 writes- I am a second year law student at The American University's Washington College of Law, in Washington, D.C. wher I have lived for the past seven years. I will receive my J.D. in 2003.

Garth J. McKinney ’90 and his wife, Katina, welcomed the birth of their first child, Colin Baldwin, born on January 5, 2000. Garth married Katina B. Smith in January 1999. He received a BA from Stonehill College in MA in 1994 and an M.Ed. from Fordham University in New York in 1995. After a year teaching locally in Wilmington, Garth taught fourth grade for three years in the Andover Public Schools in MA. In September of 1999, Garth became the assistant principal of William Mitchell School in Needham, MA. UPDATED INFO: Ryan Baldwin McKinney, was born on October 15, 2001. Garth is now in his third year of Administration serving as the assistant Principal of the Abbot Elementary School in Westford, MA.

Kristin Kennedy-Hodlofski '91 writes - My husband Mark and I welcomed our first child,a boy, Ryan Holden Hodlofski on September 18, 2000. He was baptized on November 27, 2000 by Fr.Mullen '65.

Christine Manubay '91 writes - I married Stephen James Gardiner on May 12, 2001 at St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Hockessin. Dawn Gupta Latham ('91) and Maria Dunn Bajnok ('91) were bridesmaids. I received my Masters in biology from the University at Notre Dame in 1998 and am presently working as a scientist in cancer research at Dupont Pharmaceuticals in Glenolden, PA. We are living in Wilmington, DE.

Stephanie Browning Class'92 writes - Stephanie is a 3rd year law student at University of Michigan and will be getting married in November 2001.

Barbara Smoyer '92 - writes- In 1998 I received a master's degree in archaeology from University of Cambridge, England. I then worked for 3 1/2 years as an archaeology internship with the Army Corps of Engineers in St. Louis, Missouri. I am now working as an "Archaeologist/Field Scientist" with SCI Engineering in St. Charles, Missouri. In May, I was the maid of honor, and my sister Janet ('94) was a bridesmaid, at the wedding of our older sister Karen, in Edmonton, Canada. In November 2001 I will be the maid of honor at the wedding of Stephanie Browning ('92).

Jonathan Pieslak '92 writes - I am finishing my dissertation in Music Theory at the University of Michigan, and will complete a Master's in Composition in the April. Suzanne Batchelet-Snyder '93- writes- Suzanne Batchelet married Chris Snyder on July 10, 1999 in West Chester, PA. Lisa Sendi, 1993, was in the wedding party. Suzanne is currently a third grade teacher in Prince George County, VA. The couple lives in Richmond, VA.

Dava Robinson-McClain '93 writes - In March Dava got a new job. She is now working at A.I. duPont Hospital for Children in the Pre-Surgical Care Center.

Lori Ahrens '93 writes - I got engaged to my boyfriend (now fiance) of four years. Our wedding is scheduled for next Fall (2002). His name is John David Saladino (Unionville, PA), Planner/Engineer for the Wilmington Area Planning Council. I am a Middle School teacher at Saint Thomas the Apostle School. We are moving to New Hampshire at the end of August to persue our dream of living in New England- "Live Free or Die" baby! ADD ON: I forgot to say that Courtney Kellogg (93) and Jennifer Miller (93) will be in the wedding party. I will send photos after the event!

Daniel Doherty 1993 writes- I received my Master of Science in Industrial-Organizational Psychology in May and I now work as a personnel analyst for a private consulting firm in MD.

Susan Cleaver-Shea '94 - writes- I was married to Chris Shea on May 15, 1999. Shannon Cleaver '94 was maid-of-honor. I work as a financial consultant with Benefits Consultants, Georgetown, DE, specializing in estate planning. Chris and I had our first son, Christopher Michael Shea, Jr. born on January 16, 2001. He weighed 9 lbs. 4 oz. and was 21 in. long. He is our wonderful gift from God. We enjoy him so much. Shannon Cleaver '94 is his Godmother.

Philip Nagengast '94 writes - I recently married Teresa Green on June 30, 2001 at Our Lady of Grace Church in Penndel, PA. I am a physical therapist at Bacharach Physical Therapy in Atlantic City, NJ. We live in Somers Point, NJ.

GUSTAVO CARLOS DUGUECH '94 everything is o.k. last september I finished law school and probably next year I'm going to Spain to get my Master degree.

Christine Harvey '95 writes: I graduated from Saint Joseph's University in December of 1999 with a degree in Elementary and Special Education. I am currently teaching special education for the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. I teach children who are 4 to 8 years old and who are diagnosed with mental retardation. I am currently pursuing my Master's Degree in Education with a concentration in Special Education and reading at Saint Joe's.

Daniel Stabb '98 writes - Dan has recently taken the position as Academic Coordinator for Educational Directories Unlimited. EDU is the parent company for gradschools.com and studyabroad.com. >From August 2000 through January 2000, Dan was a part of the College Program for Walt Disney World in Orlando Florida.

Christopher Sullivan '99 writes -Chris Sullivan is spending this summer semester studying German Literature and German Linguistics at the University of Augsburg in Augsburg Germany. He is majoring in German and Linguistics at the University of Pittsburgh. Vist Christopher's website

Chris Lacy '00- writes - I was one of nine out of 4,620 undergrads inducted into the White Key Society of the Phalanx Honor Society at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. I also serve as the only representative from the Class of 2004 to sit on the Rensselaer Executive Board (12 members total on the "e-board") - making decisions regarding institute employment, food service, academic affairs, etc. Visit Chris's website.
