It was a great day for the 13th Annual Archmere Alumni Golf Outing. Over 117 Alumni, friends and parents were in attendance. Fr. Diny was on the job and took care of the weather.
This years event was a sell out. The Alumni Association would like to thank the players, sponsors and volunteers for making this a great event.
Left - This years shoot out was a great success. Players who qualified by hitting a par three in regulation went to the finals which was a closest to the pin from the 1st tee to the 18 green, a distance of 100 yards. The field is shown here waiting to take a shot at the pot.
Right - The staff at Kennett Square are doing the measurements to determine the winners. First place winner was Bruce Derr and he took home a pot of $500.00. Although not an alum Bruce has not missed one of the 13 Alumni Golf Outings. Bruce was the guest of Ed Heydorn '74. Second Place winner was Tom Mallon '85 and he took home $200.00 but promised to give some of it back to the school!
Headmaster Fr. Timothy F. Mullen, O.Praem '65 started out the evening festivities with a blessing. In addition to being an alumnus and the 6th Headmaster of Archmere he is also a son of an alumni, Francis X. Mullen '39 (deceased)
