Here are their bios.

Three former teacher coaches. Father Maurice Avicolli, John Jordan '80, Mr. Paul Pomeroy, one of this year inductees. Doyle, Pomeroy, & Cylc '73 all spoke about how important it was to them to be a teacher/coach. There was a small interruption during the banquet when Fr. Avicolli was asked to move the Archmere bus double parked on Rt.202.

Legendary Coach Joe Moglia came to honor his friends, which were also his staff members and player Doyle, Pomeroy, & Cylc '73. Joe was a coach for 16 years (Archmere, Penncrest, Lafayette, and Dartmouth) before going into the financial services industry. He said his four years at Archmere working the coaches were among the happiest in his career. Coach Moglia started the concept of football camp at Archmere with 4- a- days! He also thought is was good that we were running late because it would not give Larry Cylc '73 time to do his rendition of "Mrs. Goldfarb".

Headmaster Fr. Timothy F. Mullen, O.Praem '65 with Head Football Coach Bill Doyle.
After 27 years at Archmere Bill Doyle is leaving. He has accepted a position as Assistant Principal & Director of Students at Archbishop Spalding HS located in Severn, MD. He will start this job in January 2001.

Larry Cylc '73, one of this years inductees, shown here with his wife, Debbie. Larry is an alumni, former Archmere coach and teacher and a Claymont resident.

Rick Maiocco '73, friend and classmate of Larry's, was unable to attend the banquet. He made a generous donation of $1000.00 in Larry's name to purchase a perpetual plaque which will list all of the members of the sports hall of fame.

Over 150 tickets were sold for the 3 annual sports banquet. Making this event the largest Alumni event ever held.

Father Maurice Avicolli (at podium) and Fr. Joseph McLaughlin gave a joint Benediction at the end of the evening.

Seated is Mike Hare '79, the MC for the evening.
